You'll find me out in the rain

I was really lazy yesterday, so this post is a day late. Basically, Erica (or Frances. I’m not entirely sure) thought of joining Missy Bon Bon’s Trivia Night last Saturday. Sadly only four of us made it. I brought a pack of Dark Chocolate and Mint TimTam for us to eat while playing. I ended up buying a cup of milk from Strabucks so we could try eating some TimTam in a new way (new to us at least). 

A little while after we finished the whole pack, a girl came by with a piece of paper for us to write our team name. We panicked a little because she was just standing right there and probably had to get the names of maybe 10 other teams. We’re all huge McFly fans so someone burst out and said “Galaxy Defenders!” There aren’t many McFly fans out here so I found it funny that when they did a roll call for the teams, four teenage girls yelled “Whoo!” and put their fists in the air when they said Galaxy Defenders. 

After talking to each other about how much we regretted choosing that as out team name, we got over it and thought “Hey, we can do this. We need to do well and make other Galaxy Defenders proud.” The game started, and we couldn’t even answer the first 8 questions. 

When the first set was over, we found out that we were second to last in the charts. The next few categories weren’t as difficult. We answered a few questions in like we had all the time in the world and doodled around the answer.

For the next three sets, we stayed at second to the last. It was getting late so we left before the showed the final scores. 

Next school year will be our Senior year so we plan on attending as many trivia nights as we can until we graduate. I’m hoping we can climb up the ladder. Maybe we won’t get to the top since most of the people we go against are a lot older than us, but we need to try. Hopefully we’ll be able to make it to almost every Saturday night so we would sort of be regulars. Then if anyone pointed that out to us we could say (or sing) the line “Galaxy Defenders stay forever.” They might not get it, but it would be a fun memory.
